Life Enrichment Assistant

Mary’s Woods is looking for the next addition to our Life Enrichment team!

The Life Enrichment team is the heart and soul of resident life within 4 long-term care neighborhoods serving 150 residents.  Our Life Enrichment team plans meaningful and engaging activities that not only entertain and bring joy but also give residents the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to the world at large.

The Life Enrichment Assistant participates in the generation of ideas for new activities – always based on the interests of the residents we serve – and then bringing those ideas into full fruition, including facilitating the activity itself.

We use a strength-based, person-centered approach to all that we do. The Life Enrichment Assistant must be skilled in adapting activities based on the physical and cognitive abilities of the specific residents who choose to attend on any given day so that every resident is able to successfully participate.

Experience working with people living with dementia as well as people with physical disabilities is essential for this position. The Life Enrichment Assistant must be able to bring genuine laughter and joy to their work with residents, as well as sincerity and compassion.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with some flexibility to support special activities at other times.
