Mary's Woods is looking for a Transportation Supervisor with exceptional communication and customer service skills to join our team. This position supervises the Transportation department, ensuring residents have safe, reliable, and efficient transportation both on and off campus. This position also oversees scheduling resident transportation for off campus activity and personal appointments.
Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience, and skills needed to be successful:
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the Transportation department to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient services for residents.
- Coordinates and schedules drivers, routes, and transportation requests, including recurring trips, medical appointments, and group outings.
- Manages on-campus and off-campus transportation logistics to meet resident needs.
- Responds to resident inquiries and resolves transportation-related concerns in a timely, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations within a Life Plan Community.
- Coordinates routine vehicle maintenance with the Facility Services Director, assigning drivers to transport fleet vehicles in compliance with Oregon standards and ensuring staff maintain appropriate licensure.
- Ensures all drivers maintain appropriate licensure, certifications, and required training.
- Oversees safety standards, regulatory compliance, and recordkeeping in alignment with organizational, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervises team members, including scheduling, performance management, coaching, and development.
- Conducts recruitment activities including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of team members.
- Collaborates with internal departments to support resident services and organizational priorities.
- Participates in emergency response activities as needed to support resident and team member safety.
- Maintains availability to support operations during evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations as required.
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required and associates degree or higher in logistics/transportation preferred
- Two (2) years of supervisory or management experience
- Possession of a valid Oregon driver’s license and safe driving record for the past three years
- Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement preferred
- Knowledge/Certification in First Aid and CPR

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
