Lead Hospitality. Build Community. Make a Difference.

Friendsview is seeking an experienced and people-focused Dining Director to lead dining services across our vibrant Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).

This is more than a food service leadership role — it’s an opportunity to create meaningful experiences for residents through hospitality, wellness, and exceptional dining. We’re looking for a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values team culture, and is passionate about serving older adults with dignity and respect.

If you’re an experienced hospitality or culinary operations leader who enjoys mentoring teams, improving systems, and creating outstanding guest experiences, we’d love to connect with you.

What You’ll Do

As Dining Director, you’ll lead all dining operations across independent living, assisted living, and memory care, creating a safe, welcoming, and resident-centered dining experience. You’ll oversee team leadership, daily operations, budgets, food safety compliance, catering, and vendor partnerships while collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, nursing, and care teams to support residents’ nutritional needs and overall experience.

You’ll also help build a positive, hospitality-driven culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, health regulations, HACCP standards, and state survey requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • ServSafe Manager Certification and valid Food Handler’s Card
  • 5+ years of food service, hospitality, or dining management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and operational management skills
  • Experience managing labor and food costs
  • Flexible schedule availability, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Dietetics, or related field
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or CCRC environments
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and resident-centered dining practices

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Lead with empathy, professionalism, and accountability
  • Enjoy mentoring and developing teams
  • Balance operational excellence with outstanding hospitality
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and leadership
  • Thrive in a mission-driven environment where your work makes a meaningful impact
